A Frenchman on the Cape

Ruby-red in the glass with a bouquet of black cherries and plums. A complex, concentrated and harmonious wine with the typical character of a Bordeaux cuvée. It has a powerful but lean body and a gentle finish with a nuance of residual sweetness.
The Brenthurst Winery lies on the south-eastern slopes of Paarl Mountain near the town Paarl. Each year it produces just this one wine made from 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11.5% Merlot and 11.5% Cabernet Franc grapes.
Alcohol by volume: 13%, serving temperature: 16–18°C.
