Canoeing down the rapids

A brilliant bright red colour with the fragrance of cherries, redcurrants and spicy herbs. It has a powerful sleek body with well-integrated acidity and is round, harmonious and mellow on the palate – in spite of, or maybe due to, its slight residual sweetness. But be warned, its alcohol content is 13% alc. vol.!

“Close to Montpellier in the so-called ‘Terroir de la Méjanelle’, the extremely likeable Pierre Clavel cultivates 47 hectares of poor stony, quartz and granite soils. Wine critics and enthusiasts alike are thrilled by the Domaine’s wines, which are among the best and most sought-after in the Languedoc. The secret of his success, besides his daily work in the vineyard and the cellars, is constancy. Regardless of growing demand, high quality and excellent value for money continue to set him and his wines apart.” (Wine merchant Mövenpick)
