Corned beef
Ingredients
1.7kg corned silverside
1 onion, cut in half
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Splash white vinegar
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon black peppercorns
1. Place beef and remaining ingredients into solid stainless steel tray.
2. Steam uncovered 95°C for 1hour 45 minutes.
3. Remove from steam oven and allow to rest lightly covered with foil for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serves 6-8
Note: Cooking time is calculated at 30 minutes per 500g.
