Not without my breakfast
Get out of bed, take a shower and go. Breakfast? No, thanks! Busy people like to go without the first meal of the day, especially when they want to keep their weight in check.

But in spite of reducing the number of calories they take in, they are doing themselves no favour. A number of new studies show this.

Researchers from Harvard Medical Center even consider breakfast to be the most important meal of the day. According to their research, people who go without breakfast run an increased risk of becoming overweight. In contrast, people who eat a balanced meal after getting up in the morning have an easier time of staying fit. Because they suffer less frequent snack attacks in the afternoons and evenings.

The perfect breakfast according to diverse research groups: Wholemeal bread and eggs! This combination induces the body to release the greatest amounts of Peptide YY, a protein which appears to reduce appetite. According to a study conducted at Saint Louis University the nutrients from a good old breakfast help to repress the appetite when slamming on the calorie brakes during the day. The level of cholesterol also stays within the normal range.
